Entrepreneurship in Ecuador and the support for it by the academy

Abstract
This article will address an analysis of the entrepreneur in Ecuador, leadership training, research focused on a sample of 14 MSMEs with a minimum stay in the market of five years, domiciled in the city of Guayaquil, whose domain is development social and business with a subline of innovation, was achieved in synergy between academia and private companies executed through the Research Project, the objective was for higher education institutions to provide entrepreneurs with specific training and business coaching to strengthen their leadership. The method consisted of four phases: The first phase of soft skills diagnosis through leadership tests and unstructured interviews. Subsequently, a second one that includes coaching sessions for entrepreneurs on leadership, in the third stage, was facilitated to the entrepreneurs. specific training, and finally as a fourth stage, a comparison was made between the results before and after the sessions for the entrepreneurs. We worked together to strengthen weaknesses, reduce threats, and take advantage of the strengths and opportunities that arise. As a contribution to the academy, entrepreneurs carry out knowledge transfer sessions to the students of a Higher Education Institution, through visits to classes and exposing their career in the market from its beginnings to the present. The sample consisted of 14 entrepreneurs, the hypothesis being that leadership training through coaching in entrepreneurs contributes to developing this skill, which can be verified through the comparative method of evaluations.
